About the Role:
As a SHEQ Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the SHEQ processes across the company. Serving as the manager of all safety operations, you will manage the team of safety supervisors across South Australia and Western Australian sites. This role will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support while facilitating seamless communication across the SHEQ team. Your ability to lead the team effectively, prioritize competing demands, and maintain clear, professional communication will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Driving compliance across all safety standards that are set in the company
- Promote the key values across safety, health, environmental and quality for IWS
- Motivate a positive SHEQ culture for IWS, being consistent with all principles and standards
- Provide mentoring and support for all safety supervisors in the SHEQ team and support with the implementation of the safety system across all sites
- Train operational teams in how to utilise the functions of the safety system
- Provide monthly progress reports to the Environmental Manager and CEO
- Carrying out any internal audits and facilitate external system audits
- Motivating a culture of timely Incident reporting and Investigation
- Reporting serious Incidents to the CEO & Environmental Manager, further aiding in the investigation
- Maintaining an Incident register and Incident report folders
- Supporting SHEQ Supervisor and operational teams in effective Incident investigation work
- Promote teamwork and support continuous process improvements across all IWS staff
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth communication and operation of the organisation
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years SHEQ experience
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
- Certificate IV in WHS
- ICAM Lead Investigator Training
- Valid Driver's License
- Industry White Card
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exemplary Customer Service Skills with High Attention to Detail
- Strong Problem-Solving Abilities with Effective Prioritisation
- Exceptional Communication, Interpersonal, and Organisational Skills
- Ability to Handle Tasks with Accountability and Discretion
