Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this fantastic Aboriginal health service located In the Northern Territory to help them find a Remote Area Nurse to join their team.As the Remote Area Nurse you will be responsible for coordinating and assisting in the provision of timely, culturally appropriate, condition specific care through the Visiting and Specialist Services. The position is to be the main point of contact for the organisation of Specialist Services including Case Conference, Telehealth and Outreach Visits.

- Salary of up to $136,781 per annum + 11.5% superannuation

- Retention Allowance of $10,000 per 12 months of continuous service

You will be living in a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory (Arnhem Land) approximately 500 km east of Darwin. It is one of the largest Indigenous communities in the region, with a population of around 3,500 people.
East Arnhem Land is a large, remote region in the Northern Territory of Australia. It’s located in the northeastern part of the country, bordered by the Arafura Sea to the north and the Gulf of Carpentaria to the east. The region is known for its rugged, wild landscapes, including dense tropical rainforests, coastal plains, and rocky plateaus.

Responsibilities
- Work within the Visiting Specialist Services Program in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality prevention and treatment
- Identify and prioritise clients’ needs by working collaboratively with other Health Programs, Community Health Workers and the broader Community
- Provide a culturally safe, competent and comprehensive care
- Develop and maintain a strong referral pathway
- Work with the broader team including external agencies
- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- Minimum 5 years broad nursing experience post registration with minimum 3 years working in a Primary Health role
- Current Maternity or Remote Emergency Care
- Must have rural and remote experience
- Triage Certificate
- Current BLS (annual), ALS (2 years), REC (or equivalent), Recognised Immunisation Provider Certificate
- Pharmacotherapeutics
- Current Driver Licence
- Current NT Working with Children Clearance
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
