A leading Australian non-government organisation (NGO) focused on complex mental health issues is seeking an IT Operations Lead on a long fixed term contract. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing key IT functions such as asset management, procurement, onboarding, and system readiness for technology projects. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and support a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Based in Melbourne with a hybrid work model, this position requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
About the Role
- Manage and maintain the IT asset register, ensuring devices are appropriately assigned and disposed of securely.
- Oversee release management processes, ensuring smooth system updates and stable operations.
- Assist with the procurement and stock management of IT equipment.
- Lead the IT onboarding and offboarding process, coordinating staff setup and equipment collection.
- Ensure technology readiness for important projects like Co-pilot activation.
- Provide daily IT support and troubleshoot issues, liaising with external vendors as needed.
About You
- Proven experience in an IT coordination or support lead role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Knowledge of IT asset management, procurement, and onboarding processes.
- Experience with access management systems and technology project coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
