  • Salary range: $56,951 - $76,425 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role
As an Administrative Services Officer, you will provide support to the Administrative Services Coordinators, Associate Director and provide effective and efficient administrative support to the IMHA team with a focus on working well with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will provide a wide range of administrative support services to IMHA and consumer advisory groups including but not limited to phone-based services, interview coordination, training and orientation of new staff, coordinating service events, minute taking, and data entry.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Strong coordination, time management, decision making and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment, multitask and apply a constructive approach to solving problems with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident phone presence, with an ability to quickly build trust and rapport with a diverse range of consumers and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in organising and promoting events.
  • Sound computer skills including proficiency using a range of software and online applications including Microsoft Office programs and a content management system.

About IMHA
IMHA is the primary non legal advocacy provider in Victoria and responsible for the opt out registry. We provide non legal advocacy services to people subject to Compulsory Treatment and at risk. We do this by providing a 7 day a week intake service and attending Mental Health services both hospitals and clinics to provide services to consumers. We also provide rights groups to consumers, information sessions to consumers and services and supported decision making training to the mental health workforce.

We are part of VLA who have over 1300 staff employed in 16 offices across Victoria and assist people with their legal and non legal problems by providing information, advice and education with a focus on the prevention and early resolution of legal problems.
