Primary Objective
ACLE is a turnkey solution provider for the deployment of utility scale solar and battery storage in Australia. ACLE has extensive expertise in engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of large-scale projects. The role will be required to support the delivery of projects through quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement. This is a hands on role which requires the incumbent to be a clear and concise communicator who is able to build mutually respected relationships both internally and externally with our clients, consultants, designers, subcontractors etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote quality awareness with project personnel to successfully achieve the quality objectives of the project.
- Manage a small team of Quality Assurance Officers and Assistants
- Identify non-compliances and instigate corrective actions as required.
- Carry out and report audits in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule
- Establish and plan the controls for inspection and testing of construction works, materials and equipment onsite and offsite.
- Ensure that redline mark-ups are progressively compiled during the construction phase of the works.
- Establish Supplier/Subcontractor quality requirements and include in subcontract documents.
- Ensure all inspection and test reports are submitted to the Project Manager for review.
- Maintain the project non-conformance system.
- Any other duties as may be required by the Company.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality management role.
- Extensive knowledge of quality control systems, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other relevant regulations.
- Manage own work performance and actively seek coaching, feedback learning and development opportunities.
- Strong background in at least 2 projects.
- Experience working on and around complex construction projects in Australia.
- Superior attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills and capabilities.
- Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to problem-solving when required.
- Be a skilled trades person with high quality workmanship.
- Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes.
- Capability in management of multi discipline teams including vendors, subcontractors.
- Broad experience in M&E and Civil.
- Valid construction white card.
- Must be Willing to relocate and work across several ongoing projects.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desirable
- Solar Farm experience an advantage but not essential.
