Your role

We are looking for a Sydney based leader to join our passionate and experienced team. Our Education Support Managers work with KU services to assist with the inclusion needs of all enrolled children. The purpose of the role is to:

  • Manage education support
  • Ensure equitable outcomes
  • Facilitate the effective inclusion of all children in high quality educational programs in KU services

This is a permanent 4-day position that is blended between attending K Services, Working From Home and attending our heritage listed support office on York Street in Sydney CBD.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Support the provision of quality programs and practices in all KU services
  • Facilitate the effective inclusion of all children in KU services
  • Support KU service teachers and educators to identify children’s abilities and needs.
  • Support children and families to access relevant assessment and early childhood intervention
  • Develop and deliver identified training, information and resources.
  • Contribute positively to the operations of KU and the realisation of the organisational Strategic Plan
  • Support the Senior Manager, Education and Support with the provision of Education Support to KU services

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have:

  • A completed degree in early childhood education AND a completed postgraduate or working towards qualification in special education or inclusive education
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership/management or Director’s role
  • Knowledge of the early childhood sector, including experience and knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • Knowledge of the early childhood intervention sector and the current issues affecting service provision
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • A driver’s licence and use of a registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
