About the Role

The Asset Manager oversees the fleet of vehicles and trailer enforcement systems, ensuring maintenance, repairs, and tracking are efficient and compliant with quality and safety standards. They will work collaboratively with Maintenance Teams, the Fleet Support Specialist, and subcontractors to optimise asset uptime while minimising costs. Supporting the Senior Manager – Business Operations, they manage fleet software, ensure timely servicing, and maintain strong vendor relationships. This role suits a detail-oriented professional with experience in asset management, maintenance coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of company assets, including vehicles, equipment, and machinery. This role ensures accurate tracking, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the fleet to meet contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet & Asset Management: Maintain accurate records, monitor fleet status, and implement maintenance schedules.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Work with maintenance teams and service partners to ensure timely repairs and servicing.
  • Procurement & Inventory: Manage stock levels, acquire new assets, and oversee asset disposal.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide support staff, ensuring adherence to procedures.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with subcontractors, service partners, and leasing providers.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Provide performance reports, manage budgets, and adhere to industry regulations.
  • Technical Support: Offer maintenance support and be available for after-hours assistance as needed.
  • This role requires compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO 14001 standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Tole

  • Tertiary qualification in computer, electrical, mechanical, or related fields is desirable but not mandatory (TAFE or University).
  • 3-5 years of expertise in fleet management products, services, systems, and processes.
  • Strong project management skills, including organising and documenting work.
  • Deep Mechanical and Automotive aptitude and hands-on experience are required. (Could be Fleet / Automotive Procurement Experience)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement experience.
