With a vibrant and dynamic culture, we are the employer of choice for exceptional sales professionals and are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to develop the business and support our NSW members.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will promote and grow the Commercial and Asset Finance business to achieve Connective’s overall strategic goals and vision. Success is defined by upselling, assisting and supporting stakeholders to ensure a smooth and seamless asset finance application, every time.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and increasing Commercial and Asset Finance sales growth from existing state and national databases.
- Identifying and developing business from the broker community.
- Educating and supporting brokers on Commercial and Asset Finance queries, benefits and how to sell/process applications.
- Managing lender accreditation processes, outcomes and efficiencies.
- Working closely with all internal sales staff to ensure sales targets are achieved, and remedial actions are implemented where appropriate.
- Contributing and supporting the Commercial and Asset Finance Learning & Development strategy and implementation.
- Maintaining an ongoing and real time understanding of Commercial and Asset Finance sales performance.
- Working closely with the Head of Commercial and Asset Finance to plan and execute acquisition, growth and retention strategies.
- Promoting Commercial and Asset Finance through attending relevant industry events, visits, networking and presentations.
The Person
You will have strong lending knowledge with the capability to interpret products and policies and confidently discuss deals. You will be self-motivated, thrive in a diverse environment, and enjoy building long standing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also possess:
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant sales role within the Business Banking or Commercial & Asset Finance industry.
- A thorough knowledge of credit.
- Experience using CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) to generate insights and plan activities.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to work efficiently and autonomously.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and own transport.
