Who is Home Support Association?
Home Support Association Inc (HSA) originated as a local, grass-roots service through the work of people living in this community and driven by the needs of people living in this community and continues to operate under these principles today after more than 30 years of change and growth.
At HSA, as a truly local NDIS provider, we work alongside people to identify their strengths, interests, and goals, providing just the right amount of support they need to be able to live the lifestyle they choose.
What You’ll Do:
- SIL: providing support to our service users on a 24/7 basis, operating on a rotational roster consisting of day, sleepover, and weekend shifts – so availability to work these shifts is a must.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will have a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for people with a disability to enable them to lead an inclusive life in their community.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
- Friendly and Outgoing: A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Supportive: Ability and willingness to work with complex and challenging behaviours.
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Service User Focused: Passion for delivering exceptional customer service by supporting the rights of people with a disability and working collaboratively with mutual trust and respect.

What you need:
- A current Blue Card or ability to apply
- A current Yellow Card or ability to apply
- Current driver’s licence and own registered vehicle and comprehensive insurance
- Smart phone/tablet with internet access
- First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Experience in the disability services industry
- Sound communication and written skills
- Highly desirable – COVID-19 Vaccination
- Highly desirable – Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
