We’re looking for a passionate Inclusion Support Educator to join our team and make a real impact. If you’re driven by the idea of supporting children with additional needs, from those with trauma backgrounds to developmental delays, and you want to embed inclusive practices in everything we do – then we want YOU!
What You’ll Bring to Jabiru:
- Dedication & Leadership: Lead the way in creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all children, particularly those with complex needs.
- Collaboration & Communication: You’re a team player who works closely with families and educators to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Expertise & Passion: Whether you have experience with behavior management strategies or working with visually impaired children, you know how to meet every child where they are and help them thrive.
- Heart & Drive: You are more than just experienced – you care deeply about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide tailored support for children with diverse needs, embedding inclusive practices into our service every day.
- Break down barriers, ensuring each child has equal access to the joy of play, learning, and connection.
- Collaborate with our supportive, community-focused team to create personalised support plans that work.
- Work closely with the families and educators to ensure every child receives the consistent, exceptional care they deserve.
The Skills You Need to Shine:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A deep understanding of inclusive education practices and behavior management.
- Experience working with children with a range of complex needs, especially those with trauma or disabilities.
- A background in disability studies, therapy, or related fields is a big plus.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR & Asthma/Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Qualified or enrolled into a Certificate III in Education or Childcare or Diploma or Higher qualification in Education, Childcare, Humanities, Allied Health, Sport or similar (highly desirable).
