Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join our expanding team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and develop your estimating skills while working on exciting renewable energy and power infrastructure projects, such as solar, wind, and battery storage systems. You’ll be an essential part of the team, supporting the development of accurate cost estimates and helping to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare estimates for renewable energy and power infrastructure projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of estimating strategies and processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Review offers and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and value for money.
• Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, managers, and construction crews, to gather data on labour, materials, and productivity for accurate and robust cost estimates.
• Provide support in the preparation of cost reports, summaries, tender/bid reviews, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and areas for cost optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years’ experience in civil or electrical estimating, or an electrical trade background
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive attitude.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
