Blue Lagoon Christian Camp (CYC) is a vibrant, faith-centered campsite located in beautiful Dodges Ferry. We offer meaningful experiences for individuals and groups through outdoor adventures, team-building activities, and Christian hospitality. Whether it’s for a school group, youth camp, or community event, we provide a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially.
We are currently seeking a Program Facilitator to join our team for casual work. As a Program Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to work with students and groups, leading outdoor activities, team-building exercises, and providing hospitality to all of our guest. Additionally, you’ll have the option to take on kitchen or housekeeping shifts if desired.

Position Overview:
The Program Facilitator primary responsibility will be leading groups in a variety of activities that support their personal and spiritual growth, while also maintaining a safe and fun atmosphere. No formal experience is required, but we encourage applicants who have experience leading groups or working with young people. A passion for the outdoors and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
As a part of the camp team, you will also have the chance to take on different responsibilities, depending on your preferences and availability, in areas like kitchen support or facility maintenance. This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible position in a beautiful setting with great people.

Key Responsibilities:
• Program Facilitation: Lead groups through a variety of camp activities, such as outdoor games, team-building exercises, and faith-based discussions.
• Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants during all activities.
• Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model and provide encouragement to participants, promoting Christian values and community.
• Flexible Shifts: Depending on availability, you may have the opportunity to work kitchen shifts (helping prepare meals, clean-up, and support food service) or housekeeping shifts (maintaining camp facilities, ensuring cleanliness of public spaces and cabins).
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other staff members to ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently.
• Faith and Community: Support the Christian ethos of the camp, sharing faith and encouraging campers as they grow spiritually and personally.

Qualifications:
• Experience Leading Groups: Previous experience leading or working with groups of young people is a plus but not required.
• Interest in the Outdoors: Comfort with working in an outdoor setting and participating in physical activities.
• Christian Faith: A Christian faith is encouraged, though applicants who are open to working in a Christian environment are welcome.
• Flexible and Reliable: Availability to work casual shifts throughout the year with an interest in kitchen or cleaning roles when needed.
• Team-Oriented: Ability to work well with a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive Attitude: A friendly and enthusiastic approach to working with others, with a focus on building a supportive community.
