King Island Council is seeking a strategic and community focused leader as its General Manager. You will drive the Council’s vision, ensuring financial sustainability, efficient service delivery, and responsible infrastructure management.
This role also includes oversight of the island’s airport and fostering partnerships to support economic growth.
We are looking for a senior leader with strong financial and operational management experience, a strategic mindset, the ability to engage effectively with our community and business and government stakeholders, a commitment to service excellence, and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
Local government experience is beneficial but not essential.
The role offers a total remuneration package of up to $277,825, including superannuation, a fully maintained vehicle, phone allowance, and a modern furnished home with rent and outgoings covered. Relocation assistance is also available.
