An exciting opportunity to join the Communications / Graphic Design team is available . In this role you will be r esponsible for providing high quality internal and external pr int and digital creative content that promotes Hobsons Bay City Council and encourages staff, residents and stakeholder involvement in Council activities.
This position will produce high quality , diverse creative content services for Hobsons Bay City Council’s digital, film and printed products. This role is pivotal in supporting the Council to deliver high quality and impactful communications products that are consistent, clear and insightful.
The position may evolve and change over time so the incumbent will need to be adaptable to the needs of our community and our organisation within the broad scope of the position. This provides a challenging opportunity requiring flexibility and adaptability.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Produce quality graphic desig n , video and photographic content for Council projects.
- Work with internal clients to deliver a range of creative content and products based on their requirements and the organisation’s brand guidelines and brand.
- Deliver high quality design work on time and to agreed deadlines based on internal clients’ briefs
- Work in a team environment to support diverse creative content work across wide ranging digital platforms and print mediums .
- Produce high quality corporate branded material for Hobsons Bay Council
- Engage and liaise with members of the Communications, Community Engagement and Advocacy Team to help create integrated communication campaigns across Council’s platforms with a focus on video production, animation, artist impressions, renders, photography, drone footage, social media assets and print publication
- The position requires a sound and clear understanding of graphic design, film production and the ability to convey Council’s objectives in a creative product with flair and imagination
- Demonstrate skills in Adobe Creative Suite CC, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator , Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro . Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Publisher
- Video production and editing skills including animation.
- Collaborating with team members and colleagues to deliver high quality products that meets their brief working to deadlines with a flexible approach to adjusting priority deadlines.
- A keen customer focus and ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in producing quality creative content outputs from concept to finished art across a variety of platforms including digital and print that are sensitive and respectful to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of multi-media software applications and photographic/video skills sufficient to produce photographs, video and drone footage suitable for internal publications and displays.
- Ability to multi-tasks and prioritise workloads to deliver outputs by the deadline requested.
