Description:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Tools Technician/Fitter to join our client-an established Australian Machine Tools sales business-on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the pre-delivery assembly, testing, maintenance, and minor repairs of industrial machines, as well as in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and showroom.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Machine Preparation: Test and prepare machines for delivery, including any necessary accessories.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on industrial machines.
- Inventory Management: Receive and verify incoming stock, arrange storage, and monitor inventory levels.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and dispatch orders, as well as load and unload trucks.
- Warehouse Operations: Assist with general warehouse duties and ensure a smooth operation.
- Showroom Support: Occasionally assist with the setup of showroom and exhibition displays.
W hat You'll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Trade qualifications in Engineering, with experience as a Maintenance or Electrical Fitter working with industrial machine tools.
- A Restricted Electrical Ticket 'D' (Connect/Disconncet) and LF Forklift License, or the willingness to obtain them.
- A current Driver's License and a reliable vehicle.
- Knowledge of machine tools such as lathes, bandsaws, mills, drills, etc.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
