We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of our Restaurant POS product within the Payments domain . The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of both the restaurant industry and payment processing, along with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
OOLIO is an emerging restaurant POS and we would like to onboard passionate people who like to work in a scale-up journey with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, designers, and quality assurance, to gather and document business requirements for payment-related features within the Restaurant POS product.
- Conduct thorough analysis of current payment processes, identify pain points, and propose solutions for streamlining payment workflows and enhancing user experience.
- Research and stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to payment processing in the restaurant domain.
- Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development team in implementing payment features.
- Participate in product design discussions and provide valuable insights to ensure seamless integration of payment solutions into the overall product architecture.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and scenarios, and assist in the validation of payment features to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as payment processors, financial institutions, and restaurant owners, to gather feedback and incorporate their insights into the product roadmap.
- Assist in the creation of user documentation, training materials, and support resources related to payment features.
- Contribute to the prioritization of features and enhancements based on business impact and customer needs.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in payment-related operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or Payment Processing will be a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst , preferably in the Payments domain or within the Restaurant POS or other POS/SAAS industry.
- Strong understanding of payment processing concepts, including different payment methods, security standards (PCI DSS), and industry regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Proficient in using business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, user stories, process flow diagrams, etc.).
- Exceptional communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with software development lifecycles and the ability to work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation of payment features.
- Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Familiarity with restaurant industry operations, workflows, and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
