In this role you will be responsible for providing advice, leadership, management and coordination to ensure CHHHS facilities appropriately identifies and manages organisational risk relating to fire preparedness and to lead the fire management program.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your role:
- Provide strategic direction, management and operational leadership for the Hospital and Health Service's emergency and fire management arrangements by implementing strategies and providing expert advice and supervision; ensuring fire emergency response prevention and preparedness ensuring response and recovery management activities are aligned to relevant Legislation, Local and State Government policy.
- Provide operational leadership, coordination and consultancy regarding, emergency management and fire safety. The primary focus is on the ability of the Health Service to meet its clinical, organisational and legislative obligations in a fire and emergency context.
- Provision of high-level advice to the Health Service Executive, management and other staff regarding the development and relevance of strategic and tactical planning relating to, emergency management and fire safety management and preparedness.
