Townsville Hospital and Health Service , is part of the national BreastScreen Australia program, providing free breast screening to all Queensland women aged 40 ad over. The program is available to women at over 230 locations throughout the state. BreastScreen Queensland An opportunity has arisen for Clinical Nurses to join their team on a casual basis. This position is based in Garbutt, Townsville.

About the opportunity:

Position: Clinical Nurse

Vacancy: Casual – 5 x positions available

Location: BreastScreen Qld, Garbutt

The purpose of the Clinical Nurse is to provide clinical expertise, support and education to clients attending the BreastScreen service.

Your contributions will be valued and impactful.

Casual rates of $68.06 to $72.87 p.h. (NG6-1)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification is mandatory for this position.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Adult Life Support certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per THHSCLI040151 Life Support Training and Assessment ( https://qheps.health.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0038/475778/thhscli040151.pdf )
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
