About the role:
The VPS6 Project Manager is a 2 year Fixed-Term position working on the HR-Assist Project.
The objective of the HR Assist Project is to :
- Realign Award Interpretation from Oracle Timesheets 11i to HR Assist for Police members to support decommissioning of the Oracle 11i solution and reduce the risk of delay to the Enterprise Rostering and Timesheet Project and Oracle Fusion Project.
- Realign Personal Expense and Allowance claims to HR Assist as defined in Enterprise Agreements that are HR policy related and to facilitate the decommissioning of the current Personal Expenses module in Oracle 11i.
- Enable data interfaces for HR Assist to Oracle Fusion Finance, and current and future timesheet data to HR Assist.
Your duties will include:
Reporting to the Director, HR People Services, your duties will include:
- Providing leadership and management of the efficient progress of all phases of the projects through to successful delivery.
- Leading and coordinating the successful implementation of the HR Assist projects.
- Preparation of documentation including project plans, financial reports, risk reviews and status reports.
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of assigned projects to ensure service delivery targets and key milestones are achieved.
- Actively plan, monitor, manage and deliver project objectives and outcomes to ensure the project within agreed budget, scope, and timeframes.
- Consulting and negotiating with relevant key stakeholders on various project activities.
About You:
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Demonstrated record of achievement delivering contemporary system-based projects.
- Knowledge of current digital human resource and payroll solutions.
- Experience preparing presentations, reports, and briefs with the information necessary to achieve objectives and meet specific audience needs.
- Excellent project management, planning and organisation skills, with the ability to deliver projects on time and manage competing deadlines.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and resolve project scope, design, and delivery issues.

- Be available to undertake the role for the entire assignment period.
- Gain support from your supervisor prior to submitting an application (if current Victoria Police employee).
- Include Cover letter addressing relevant experience to the Key selection Criteria as outlined in the attached PD (maximum of three pages).
- Be prepared to undertake the requirements for a ‘Baseline' security clearance.
Further Information:
- One (1) x Fixed Term, position available for 2 years.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
