We have an opportunity for an Warehouse Supervisor to join our team , As the warehouse supervisor in a start-up warehouse that you will be required to develop, lead and maintain an effective warehouse capability which provides the business with cost and service outcomes commensurate with tactical and strategic needs.

Reporting Line: Southern Regional Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities

Service Stream’s Corporate division are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Epsom Warehouse. Reporting directly to the Southern Regional Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of services related to receipt, holding and despatch of client materials securely and accurately that meets the operational demands of the business effectively.

The role is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of services related to receipt, holding and despatch of SSM and client materials securely and accurately that meets the operational demands of the business at lowest possible cost. Service output should be aligned with stakeholders requirements for high levels of material accuracy so that superior standards of commercial and service outcomes are achieved with appropriate ethical standards.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT

• To ensure the Warehouse is compliant with all legislative requirements and SSM safety procedures and policies involving Warehouse Operations including safety procedures in manual handling and hazardous material.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

• Contribute to SSM SC Operations profit performance through efficient application of labour and other resources to ensure warehouse operation is at lowest possible cost. To work with the Business Analyst to ensure warehouse timesheets and labour records are accurately kept and reported. Ensure that all material is accurately accounted for and that material movements occur only in accordance with SSM policy.

LEADERSHIP

• Provide leadership which inspires and develops the capabilities of members of the Warehouse team to assist them in achieving their full potential and develops them into a skilled and reliable team.
• Demonstrate personal energy, enthusiasm and commitment to create an environment of good team spirit amongst all employees.
• Ensure processes and procedures are compliant with SSM standards.
• Performance manages team member behaviours when and where necessary.

OPERATIONAL

• Ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of Warehouse functions, as well as 3PL and freight arrangements, that support the effectiveness of stakeholder operations.
• Ensure the physical protection, security, flow and control of all material within the Warehouse or 3PL.
• Implement operational enhancements that support growth, protect profit and satisfy the BU’s operational requirements relating to new contracts/services/regions.

GOVERNANCE

• Ensure that all Warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with legal and licencing requirements, appropriate ethical and governance standards, and Group policies and risk appetite.
• To communicate and enforce internal controls, policies and operational procedures particular to the Supply Chain environment.

REPRESENTATION & RELATIONSHIPS

• Relationships between Warehouse Operations and external stakeholders such as suppliers, 3PL providers, clients, regulatory bodies and external auditors.
• Manage internal relationships with business units and other corporate service management

About You

• Previous experience in a Warehouse leadership role, or in a similar leadership role, preferably with warehouse qualifications
• Proven ability to lead and maintain high outcomes both personally and within your team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to be able to manage your team on a personal level
• Taking pride in the work you do and ensuring you deliver it in a timely manner with an accuracy driven mindset
• Strong forklift experience and LF licence
• Strong understanding of Microsoft office, particularly Microsoft Outlook
• Strong IT understanding to accommodate a sophisticated Warehousing operation and systems
