Client Details
The business is a major food manufacturing and processing company with a very large facility. The business is looking for its next Quality Manager on site at its far North Queensland site based in between Townsville and Mackay.
Description
Reporting to the National Quality Manager you will lead a team of 2 Quality Partners to ensure that the processing facility meets or exceeds all quality certifications and regulatory and customer requirements. Specifically you will:
- Become a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team by providing quality support and training to all areas of the business and help them to identify quality improvement projects.
- Promote a culture of identifying, reporting, and managing food safety and product quality risks.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships from a quality perspective, partnering effectively with Operations to ensure that food safety, and quality policies and procedures are clearly defined and implemented.
- Managing all risk and non conformance
- Ensure regulatory and product compliance in the product development process to retain ‘license to operate’
You are a proven Quality/ Quality Assurance Manager capable of working autonomously from head office but closely with the site based management team and shop floor. You will have food/ beverage or agricultural experience along with ideally a Tertiary qualification in food science. You want to relocate to a rural idylic location on the East Coast.
