About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Storeman/Yard Hand to join our team in a newly created role. This role is responsible for managing stock, maintaining the yard, and ensuring equipment is ready for operations. It is a hands-on position suited for someone with a strong work ethic and an eye for detail. In this position you will be based in our Pinkenba depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and distribute equipment, tools, and materials.
- Maintain an accurate inventory system and conduct regular stock checks.
- Book freight providers and coordinating shipments.
- Organise and maintain the yard, ensuring it remains clean and safe.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and mobilising equipment for drilling operations.
- Conduct basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Liaise with suppliers and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar storeman, yard hand, or warehousing role (preferred).
- Forklift license (or willingness to obtain).
- HR or MR truck license (highly regarded but not essential).
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Understanding of computer systems
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
