About FHMRI Sleep Health

FHMRI Sleep Health conducts world-leading transdisciplinary research to advance knowledge of sleep, sleep disorders and develop new treatments to improve sleep and is situated within the College of Medicine and Public Health. It also provides a sleep disorders clinical service with a primarily focus on treatment for Insomnia and sleep disordered breathing.

About the Role

As the Sleep Health Laboratory Manager, you will play a key role in achieving strategic objectives and providing technical services that support the mission of FHMRI Sleep Health (AISH). You will lead and oversee the research laboratory’s operations, ensuring excellence in both leadership and management. Operating under broad guidance, you will contribute to the smooth and effective execution of high-quality research activities, all while fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration within FHMRI Sleep Health.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Completion of a relevant degree or a combination of applicable experience, education, and/or training Experience managing a clinical research team, ensuring smooth operations and effective delivery of services Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, ensuring consistent and high-quality service provision Experience in budget planning, maintaining confidential records, and providing guidance to staff on financial management and account handling Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including negotiation and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders Genuine interest in sleep health and clinical research
