Eckersley's group is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Philip store.
The successful applicant must possess sales experience and have a positive 'can-do' attitude. Experience in the art & craft industry would be preferred but not essential.
As the Assistant Manager you will provide support to the store manager in the day to day running of the store. You will help motivate and mentor a small team to provide exceptional customer service. When the store manager is on leave you will be responsible for the day to day running of the store.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the business to ensure sales goals are met
- Maintain high levels of customer service
- Purchasing & visual merchandising
- Liaise with head office to ensure the store runs smoothly and promotions executed effectively
- Rostering & assigning tasks to staff
- Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Develop, schedule, manage and promote instore workshops.
- Building partnerships with local artists, galleries and schools.
- Assist with community events
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of retail and retail management experience with a demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson
- Strong customer service, management and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proven ability in merchandising and stock management
- Must be reliable and possess a natural ability to show initiative
