The Role

We are seeking a People Operations & HR Systems Coordinator to join our Sydney-based team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in HR system implementation, optimisation, and employee lifecycle processes . You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our HR technology , ensuring seamless HR operations, and supporting workforce reporting and compliance.

While payroll is not the primary focus of this role, you will act as a backup payroll processor when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR System Implementation & Optimisation – Lead the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of our HR system (HRIS).
  • HR Data Management – Ensure accurate employee data management, system updates, and process automation within the HRIS.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management – Support onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and other lifecycle updates within the system.
  • HR Reporting & Compliance – Generate HR reports, monitor compliance requirements, and assist with audits.
  • Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through technology and automation.
  • Payroll Support – Serve as the backup payroll processor, ensuring compliance and accuracy when assisting with payroll functions.
  • HR & Payroll System Queries – Act as the primary point of contact for HR system troubleshooting and employee inquiries.

About You

  • Experience implementing or managing an HR system (HRIS) such as Workday, SAP, BambooHR, or similar.
  • 2 -3 years’ experience in HR operations, HRIS administration, or payroll.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage HR data efficiently.
  • Proficiency in HR and payroll software, as well as Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
