The Opportunity
As UPA embarks on an exciting transformation journey, a newly created role has become available for an Assistant Director, Residential Aged Care (RAC) to lead a team in the Riverina/Murray region of NSW. An integral member of the Senior Leadership team, the Assistant Director RAC holds oversight of the region’s Residential Care portfolio, leading a team committed to delivering an exceptional consumer experience and governance that exceeds industry compliance and statutory requirements. Other key accountabilities include workforce planning, staff engagement, safety and compliance.
Reporting to the Director, Residential Aged Care and leading a team managing 6 facilities, the Assistant Director, Residential Aged Care will:
Lead and manage the operations of the residential aged care portfolio, ensuring a genuine commitment to consumer-focused care.Ensure services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, quality standards and continuing advancement of Aged Care Reform.Deliver effective financial performance of the residential services through efficient workforce planning and budgeting.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, customer service and contributing to effective management decision making based on understanding of risk in the delivery of care services to residents and their families.About You
For this role we are seeking a proven leader with demonstrated experience leading a multi-site Residential Aged Care portfolio. In addition, the successful candidate will have:
Degree qualifications in Nursing. Post Graduate Qualifications in Gerontological, Health Administration, Business, Accounting or another relevant field is highly desirable.Experience in Palliative Care, Dementia Care, Diversional Therapy or Hospitality is highly desirable.A lead by example leadership style.A high level of knowledge and understanding of the Health and Aged Care sectors and their relevant policies, funding models and legislation.Proven ability to lead change and sustain a high-performing team within a multi-site organisation.Strong financial acumen with experience performing effectively against operational budgets across multiple locations.Experience effectively managing compliance within a complex regulatory environment and knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the Aged Care sector.Demonstrated ability to make decisions which balance customer experience, commercial outcomes and risk mitigation.How to Apply
