Since 1983 we’ve been helping our clients make better decisions about ecology, heritage and environmental approvals. We help clients navigate pre-planning, planning, and post-approvals for projects across Australia, primarily in the eastern states.
Our team is made up of experts in Aboriginal archaeology, botany, environmental approvals, GIS, historical archaeology, historical heritage and zoology. We have around 150 employees based in offices in Albury, Ballarat, Geelong, Gosford, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney, Western Sydney, Wollongong, and Wangaratta.

About the role
We are seeking a Communications and Marketing Lead to join our team, where you will deliver a positive brand awareness, employee engagement and business growth across Biosis’ services and regions. You will be reporting to the General Manager – Business and Technical Development and contributing to the achievement of the organisation’s mission to grow its people and deliver high quality advice and technical expertise.
Key responsibilities:
• Marketing - drive brand awareness, client engagement, and business growth across Biosis’ services and regions.
• Internal communications - employees feel informed, connected, engaged and can easily navigate operational changes.
• Brand management - visual and conceptual brand elements are applied consistently across all communication channels by all employees.
• Internal collaboration - Marketing and communications activities support the goals and objectives of the wider business and APEM Group, and content created is technically and factually correct.
• Stakeholder management - stakeholders are satisfied that they have had ample opportunity to provide input on marketing and communications activities and are kept informed about the progress and outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area such as communications or marketing.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a creative mindset and eye for design.
• Experience in creating engaging content for both digital and print platforms.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working within a multinational organisation and/or the B2B environment, is advantageous.
