As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic Production Manager to lead our production and engineering operations to new heights.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Production Manager who will be responsible for overseeing both production and engineering functions within the bakery. This leadership role involves managing production activities, optimizing engineering systems, ensuring the efficiency of equipment, and making sure that both production quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both production management and engineering operations in food manufacturing or related industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production strategies, policies, and plans to optimize operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee production operations ensuring quality, quantity, cost, time, and labor requirements are met, while ensuring smooth workflow and resource allocation.
- Manage maintenance and technical operations of production equipment to ensure peak efficiency, safety, and performance, including overseeing new plant and equipment installations.
- Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards, driving continuous improvements and innovations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements in all production and engineering activities and implement health and safety protocols across departments.
- Lead and manage production and engineering teams, ensuring high performance, staff engagement, and professional development.
- Control production costs by adjusting processes and resources to maximize efficiency and profitability, while managing production budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments (marketing, R&D, manufacturing) to integrate engineering solutions into products and processes, and provide detailed reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification (such as a bachelor’s degree) in production management, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in both production management and engineering operations, preferably in food production or manufacturing industries.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and cost optimization.
- Experience in plant and equipment management, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
