About the Company
Roy Gripske and Sons are a family owned and run business seeking a Fitter/Machinist with a good work ethic who will demonstrate the necessary skills and motivation to lead the operation of our production centre in Narangba.
Led by the National Operations Manager, you will be part of the manufacturing team primarily involved in the running of our mower blade production facility, but will also work with the new products team on prototyping projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fitting & Assembly: Assemble complex components and systems to precise specifications, using various tools and equipment.
- Machining: Operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce high-precision components.
- Toolmaking: Modify, and repair tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure high-quality production standards.
- Inspection: Conduct thorough quality checks on finished parts, using measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical drawings.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and carry out repairs on mechanical equipment and press tools as required.
- Prototyping: Work with the New Products team on design and manufacture of new spares parts and improvements on whole outdoor power equipment.
- Supervision: Required to oversee the production of blade production plant.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fitter, Machinist, or Toolmaker within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and fitting, with toolmaking experience an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
