Description:

The Opportunity: As a Mine Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate recording of excavations, services, and spatial data to support the ongoing operation of the mine. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide spatial control to execute engineering designs accurately.
  • Maintain surveying systems, ensuring data is captured, adjusted, stored, and presented according to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct routine spatial management measurements (weekly, EOM, and as required).
  • Deliver timely and precise survey data to operations to facilitate efficient mine development.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, drilling, and geology teams to provide essential spatial data.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Qualifications: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Surveying.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years in a similar underground mining environment.
  • Software Knowledge: Experience using Deswik and/or Surpac software.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Leica total station, CMS, and CALS.
  • Additional Skills: Drone pilot certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
