Position Details
Education Assistant
Full-time temporary position commencing 24 March 2025. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with classroom teachers.
The professional staff of St Peter's Primary School, collaborating with an involved and connected parent community, support the students' learning in all aspects of the Western Australian Curriculum, with Religious Education as the foremost learning area.
This position will suit a formally qualified, vibrant and enthusiastic individual who loves working in an interesting and engaging environment.
Selection Criteria
Flexibility, resourcefulness, creativity and a passion for education. Be willing to work constructively and positively with teacher direction. Expertise, experience and training appropriate to the needs of the children requiring support. Possess good IT skills, have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to work professionally, maintaining each child's feeling of safety and security in the classroom. Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain. Experience in working with students with autism and diabetes is advantageous. If not skilled, a willingness to undergo training is required.
Qualifications Required
Certificate III Education Assistant and/or Certificate IV Education Assistant Special Needs Accreditation to work in a Catholic School, or progress towards Accreditation.

A current National Police Clearance/100 Point Identification Check must also be included.
