About The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and self-driven individual to join the Ellenvale team as a Therapy Assistant for part time permanent shifts a fortnight.
Location
The Aegis Aged Care Group is proud to of our premium 140 bed Residential Aged Care Facility for both Low and High Care Residents on the corner of Broadwater Boulevard and Bell Drive, Broadwater. The Facility overlooks Broadwater Lake and is ideally located for Residents to enjoy excursions into Busselton or along the coast to Dunsborough.
As an integral part of the team, you will:
- Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
- Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.
- Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.
- Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
- Accompany Resident groups on outings.

Requirements of the role
- Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential).
- Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Have empathy with the elderly.
- Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
