The Candidate:

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about enhancing the lives of others, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, punctual, friendly, and genuinely caring towards clients.

The Role:

As a Support Worker/Carer in Palmyra, WA, you will be responsible for assisting clients with various daily activities, including showers, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication monitoring, shopping, meal preparation, housekeeping, respite care, social support, and transportation to appointments.

This client requires a carer to offer companion care, transport assistance and domestic assistance 10 hours per week. Must be available some days throughout the week and one Saturday every three weeks. With a mixture of evenings and day shifts.

This client likes to travel to Mandurah every three weeks on a Saturday, so it is necessary to have a reliable car and willing to travel.

We are looking for someone reliable, with experience with mental health or challenging behaviours and someone who will connect with and engage with the client.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • National Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Smartphone
  • Experience in providing at home care including Personal Care
  • Must be able to cook and prepare meals.
  • Must have a reliable car and willing to transport the client to Mandurah every three weeks on a Saturday.
