About the role:
The Senior Plant Technician (Electrical Profile) is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of operation and maintenance requirements of the plant and equipment at the Power Station ensuring ongoing economic operation, reliability, efficiency, and optimised performance of the plant.
Responsibilities?

Continuous application of HSEC systems as designated by Origin Policy and Procedure
-
Ongoing Plant Operations, Inspections and Maintenance
-
Execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities in accordance with agreed procedures and operational requirements to ensure plant is operating safely, effectively, and efficiently
-
Working with leading edge technology, perform inspections, preventative, planned, unplanned and corrective maintenance and repairs
-
Provide callout support outside of normal working hours
-
Assist in project and outage management and coordination,
-
Engage and coordinate contractors performing specialist work
-
Work flexibly to support other Origin Power Stations as required (Major outage support or coverage for periods of extended leave)

Provide coverage for site’s Plant Manager as required
What will you bring?

Electrician- Trade Certificate.

Provide advanced level of technical advice to site regarding effective operations and maintenance
-
Ability to foster and support an inclusive team environment.

Strong communication skills, lead by example, able to deliver

Demonstrated planning and organising skills
-
Effective computer literacy including advanced experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (Oracle, Ellipse, SAP) and SCADA/DCS/PLC’s

PTW Experience
-
Proven experience in conducting incident investigations
-
Gas Turbine Operation or Maintenance experience or Heavy Industry Experience
-
HV Switching experience
-
Siemens T3000 control system and S7 PLC experience would be desirable
-
Thorough understanding of condition monitoring methods, equipment control and processes within power generation or similar heavy industry
-
Intermediate or advanced experience calibrating and fault-finding instrumentation, industrial network and communication protocols, and Safety Instrumented Systems and associated proof testing.

Strong problem-solving skills to enable resolution of administrative, operational or maintenance issues.
