Description:
We are looking for experienced and dealer trained Diesel Motor Mechanics & Auto Electricians with European and Japanese made light vehicles, Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, 4WD's, Fuso Trucks &/OR Agriculture and Construction Machinery experience for our clients in Inverell, NSW and Surrounding areas. The role will include all aspects of maintenance and repairs to trucks and trailers, new vehicle pre-delivery etc.Some of the duties may include but not limited to below; depending on your position:
- Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel, petrol and gas-powered vehicles
- Diagnose, repair and replace engine management and fuel injection components
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition and electronic fuel injection
- Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or list the work required before a certificate can be issued.
- Detect mechanical and electrical faults by using instruments that check charging and starting circuitry, batteries, ignition and ignition timing, fuel injection systems and speed control, cylinder compression, engine condition, braking efficiency, and wheel balance and alignment
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
- Repairing and maintain hydraulic components
- Auto Electricians to undertake electrical work on new vehicles prior to delivery. This work will include standard electrical additions from lights, fridges, isolators, and invertors to complex CAN BUS integration into standard vehicle systems.
- At least 1 years full time work experience
- Hold Relevant Trade qualifications/Experience
- Experience working in a dealership an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks
- Ability to work with computer systems, including computer based diagnostic programs
- Willing to travel and engage in emergency breakdown or after-hours duties when required
