Description:
We are looking for experienced Pastry Cooks/Chefs & Bakers to start immediately on Full Time basis with our client in Coniston, NSW. Ideally the candidates will be trade qualified or have suitable experience.In these positions you should be able to:
- Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, muffins, croissants/Danish, breads, rolls etc., including pastry for Pies following traditional and modern recipes.
- Able to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for the business.
- Manage all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
- Maintain a lean and professional work environment and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, ensuring stock is well-maintained, and manage ordering and receiving of supplies as needed to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menus and limited-time offerings, capitalizing on current trends and customer preferences.
- Assist in customer requests and special orders, ensuring that the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- You must have at least 1 years experience in Pastry Chef/ Baker related role.
- Hold relevant industry trade qualifications.
- Good knowledge and understanding of different types of pastry, breads, dessert, cake decorating.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days and evenings.
- Positive attitude and Good communication skills
