ASSISTANT CENTRE DIRECTOR
Inspiring Assistant Director Opportunity at Little Saints ELC Maffra
Little Saints Early Learning Centre Maffra is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to join our team of educators. If you're a natural leader with a passion for early childhood education, we encourage you to apply! This role involves mentoring staff, supporting the Centre Director, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs. A Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education is required.
Our well-equipped centre boasts separate play environments, spacious rooms, and generous age-appropriate learning resources, both indoors and out. We operate from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Excellent benefits offered.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to lead, support, and manage our team, and assist the Centre Director with the day-to-day running of the centre.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Centre Director in the daily management of the centre, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Little Saints ELC policies.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and leadership to staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
- Collaborate with the Centre Director on staff rostering.
- Uphold Little Saints ELC's high-quality standards and work practices.
- Nurture relationships with children, families, educators, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in attracting, enrolling, and retaining families through centre tours, enrolments, and orientations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A strong understanding of Child Safe Standards.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Education.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
- Proficiency in VEYLDF and National Quality Standards.
- Excellent personal presentation.
- Confidence and ability to build strong relationships with families.
- A desire to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with adults and children.
- A proactive approach to care and support.
- Demonstrated sensitivity, patience, and kindness.
