SummaryWe are looking for a People & Culture Partner to join us in a part-time capacity (16 - 25 hours per week) . Reporting to the Chief of Staff , you will own and drive core people initiatives, balancing strategic and operational responsibilities. This is a standalone role where you’ll work closely with our leadership team to foster a strong employee experience, enhance performance management, and ensure smooth HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manager & Employee Support- Coach and support middle managers on performance conversations, feedback, goal setting, and employee development .
- Provide guidance on people-related issues such as employee relations, career development, and engagement.
- Support the SLT in driving a strong culture of learning and development , ensuring consistency in people management approaches.
- Lead our annual engagement survey – administering the survey, analysing results, and facilitating team debriefs and action planning .
- Drive our ‘Brand Inside Out’ strategy , ensuring our EVP is embedded across the employee experience.
- Support and oversee team events, recognition programs, and cultural initiatives .
- Run payroll processes (via our HRIS, Hibob) and liaise with Finance.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding to ensure a smooth employee experience.
- Maintain and improve our HR policies, compliance, and reporting .
- Manage office administration (suppliers, cleaners, office supplies).

- Remote Team Optimisation – Enhancing how we run and structure offshore teams, including legislation, culture, and process improvements.
- Process Engineering & Efficiency – A more commercial/strategic focus on optimising our headcount model and looking at how we get more out of our people.
- AI and automation - Looking at how AI can help supercharge our people and enable them to get more out of their day
- Data and Analytics - Build data-driven insights to inform our people strategy and decision making across the business
- Enhanced L&D Initiatives - build tailored leadership development initiatives for middle and senior managers, curate and deliver training sessions or partner with external providers to support skill-building across the team
You’re probably someone who has a well rounded background in HR / People and Culture, and is ready to shape your next step. Perhaps you’re looking to move into a more operational or commercial space, or maybe you want the opportunity to put your advisory work into practice - making something your own. You might be looking to build out a P&C function from scratch, or perhaps you just want engaging work, new problems to solve, and to ride that wave wherever it takes you… . - 3-5+ years HR generalist experience , ideally in a scale-up, startup, or high-growth environment - but this is not essential. If you’re looking to take your generalist experience and move into a new industry - we still want to hear from you!
- Strong skillset experience in coaching managers, performance management, and employee development .
- Hands-on experience with HR processes, policies, and compliance .
- Self-starter mindset – comfortable owning projects and working autonomously.
- Strong communication skills and natural relationship builder with an ability to engage with leaders and employees at all levels .
- Experience with HR systems (Hibob or similar) and payroll processing (desirable).
- Above all, you’re a problem solver . You love getting to the heart of a problem or opportunity, and scoping solutions from first principles.
- Salary: $80K–$100K AUD (pro-rata) + super.
- Hours: 20-25 hours per week.
- Location: Melbourne-based, with at least two in-office days per week (flexible days/hours, including office days).
- Start Date: ASAP.
