Our client, an international manufacturer of high precision engineered components are currently recruiting a Qualified Mechanical Fitter who is happy to combine fitting duties with mechanical stores duties.
About The Job
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role is responsible for a wide range of Assembly, Fitting & Inspection of components.
The key functions for this role are as follows
- Assemble components using standard work procedures
- Operate general hand tools (electric & pneumatic)
- Operate milling and drilling machines
- Operate surface and bench grinders
- Remove and replace defective parts and components
- Fitting and assembling components
- Dismantle, repair, overhaul and assembly
- Assembly of bearings on shafts and gearboxes onto machines
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or Equivalent)
- Experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in production or assembly environments
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
- Read, apply technical documentation supplied
- Ability in identifying the Root Cause of equipment failures.
- Takes an active approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work as required.
