About the role
RMB Logistics is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team based in Silvan Vic. This is a casual role for the first 3 months with close to, if not more than, full-time hours. You will be an integral part of our road transport operations, delivering goods to Melbourne Metro, Canberra, Bathurst, Orange & linehaul to Adelaide with changeovers in Tarcutta or Holbrook, depending on your licence. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods by all relevant regulations and company policies.
What you'll be doing
- Operate a range of heavy vehicles, including vans, rigid, semi-trailers and B-doubles, in a safe and responsible manner
- Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completed all necessary documentation
- Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations, including fatigue management and load restraint requirements
- Provide excellent customer service and liaise with dispatch and operations teams
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of your assigned vehicle
- Primarily working out of our Silvan depot
What we're looking for
- A valid minimum HC with an MC-preferred preferred driver's licence and a clean driving record
- Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) driving heavy vehicles in a commercial transport environment
- Exceptional safe driving skills and a strong focus on compliance with road transport regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A flexible approach to working hours.
