About the Role
Motive Group Pty Ltd is seeking an Experienced Diesel Generator Technician to join our team in Hastings, VIC. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for servicing and repairing diesel generators both in the field and in our workshop. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of our clients' critical power systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting routine maintenance and servicing of diesel generators in the field and in our workshop
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on diesel generator sets and associated equipment
- Providing technical support and advice to clients on the operation and maintenance of their generators
- Maintaining detailed records of all work completed
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new generator systems
- Mentoring and training junior technicians
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years experience as a diesel generator technician with a strong background in servicing, maintenance, and repair
- Formal qualifications in diesel mechanics, electrical, or a related field
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Essential: Strong understanding of generator control systems, with hands-on experience operating systems from ComAp and DeepSea Electronics
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and provide technical guidance
- A commitment to safety and quality in all work practices
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
