Nurse Unit Manager -Theatre

About the Role
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Theatre Department ensuring the delivery of high standard care and patient safety. You will work in a collaborative team alongside another NUM and POSM to manage a skilled nursing and support team in our Theatre complex. You will lead supervise and mentor our Theatre team to ensure the smooth operation of the department. You will be integral to leading the training, professional development, and management of the Theatre staff.
About You
To be successful in this role you be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others. You will also bring extensive Orthopaedic theatre experience along with exceptional communication interpersonal skills.
You will be able to manage competing priorities work and work well in a busy theatre complex.
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive clinical skills and experience within Theatre
- Experience in a Management role
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
- Ability to plan, develop, implement Departmental Strategies
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources.
