Psychologist – JC Assist
Location : Remote and travel to clients’ homes Employment Type: permanent part-time

JC Assist is a dedicated provider of aged care and disability support services, committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need. We are expanding our services and developing a strong Allied Health department to better support our clients.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Psychologist to work with people with additional needs while assisting in the growth and development of our Allied Health department. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team, working alongside an Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist to establish a well-rounded service.
In addition to providing client-focused psychological support, the Psychologist will also play a key role in supporting the mental health and well-being of JC Assist staff. We recognise that working in support services can have an impact on mental health, and we are committed to building a strong internal support network for our team.
As this is a new role, you will have the flexibility to develop your own client calendar, working with brand-new clients and shaping the future of our Allied Health services. You will also collaborate with our media management team to promote the department and engage with the community.
Key Responsibilities

Provide psychological services to clients with additional needs.

Work collaboratively with an Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist to deliver comprehensive care.

Assist in developing and structuring the Allied Health department.

Development of own client calendar.

Engage with media management teams to promote JC Assist’s Allied Health services.

Provide mental health support and resources for JC Assist staff to help build a strong internal support network.

Be open to learning and adapting as the department grows.
Skills & Requirements

Qualified and registered Psychologist (AHPRA registration required).

Employee WWCCCurrent Police check

Experience or interest in working with individuals with additional needs and mental health.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A proactive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to learn.

Basic first aid and CPR

Ability to contribute to the development of a new department.

Interest in staff well-being and mental health support within the workplace.

Completed or willing to complete the NDIS worker module.
