Our AMP team - We are a national team that has traditionally delivered consulting work in strategic planning, master planning, detailed planning, business cases and all aspects of asset management service involving water and sewer networks, pumping stations, conveyance, and other water infrastructure. Our clients include TasWater, Coliban Water, Melbourne Water, SA Water and various other local and national clients . We are in the privileged position of having an impressive backlog of work, which provides us with a stable platform and the ability to be reasonably selective with regards to the broad range of tendering opportunities in the market.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Water Section Executive, Asset Management & Planning, our client-focused Team Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our growing AMP water team and will interact with clients and potential clients to nurture WSP’s future pipeline of work. The role encompasses:
Being responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the team. This includes managing team utilisation and project governanceLeading the business development and positioning activities for pursuits, and preparing key tenders for the AMP water teamMaintaining performance in accordance with strategic performance goalsBeing responsible for maintaining staff well-being and leading the professional development of direct reports Supporting and mentoring staffPromoting diversity and inclusion and encouraging a healthy balance for team membersTranslating strategic plans into action plans, and implementing key actions Planning the team’s short-term and long-term resourcing to maximise efficiencyActive involvement in shaping the industry and events through committees, industry bodies, publishing papers. Maintain 50% billability on project work

Previous team management experience desirable Well-connected within the Water utilities market (Strong preference for Victorian water market)Project Management experience Experience in commercial aspects of projects in a consulting environmentExperience in infrastructure planning and/or detailed planning of water, recycled water, and sewerage infrastructure.Proven ability to develop strategic plans for growth and development of the team in line with greater businessProven ability to successfully interpret strategic plans into action plans and achieve the action plansTrack record of winning work in this market sectorExperience in dealing with and solving client issues and concerns relating to projects and project teams
