The Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO) is a strategic and proactive function, responsible for facilitating and supporting effective delivery of AEMO’s change agenda and investments, focusing on the right decisions, at the right time, delivering business and customer outcomes while managing critical risks.
About the role
The Enterprise Portfolio Assurance (EPA) Lead role has responsibility for providing services to the delivery portfolios across the organisation that support them in succeeding. The EPA Lead will adopt a proactive and strategic mindset in providing the drive, leadership, advice and insight in the definition and uplift of services to support program methods, program governance and program assurance across the organisation.
What you will be doing
- Govern and manage the Enterprise Portfolio Services Framework and Methods
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Leadership Team, Investment Management Lead, Portfolio Insights Team, and Portfolio Delivery to embed common methods and approaches across Divisional Portfolios and Programs.
- Establish best practice approach and processes for Post Implementation Reviews.
- Establish best practice approach and processes for independent Quality Assurance Reviews.
- In conjunction with Risk and Internal Audit respectively, establish best practice approach and processes for risk management and compliance.
- Provide Program/Project start-up services to newly established teams.
- Deliver enterprise portfolio reporting during Project Delivery (Planning & Execution phase).
What you will bring to the role
Education/ Certificates
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline:
- Project Management accreditation / certification, or substantial equivalent experience of specialist professional development in project management.
Experience and Knowledge
- 10+ years’ experience working across large scale transformation and change, as well as small scale delivery and change.
- Significant experience of leading teams in successful delivery projects or programs.
- Significant experience of following project, program and DevOps methodologies: Prince2, Waterfall, Agile, and business change methodologies, PROSCI, PMI/PMBOK and SAFe.
- Experience in uplifting organisational delivery capability.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a complex and challenging environment.
