About the Role
We are currently seeking casual Kitchenhands to join our team at GMHBA Stadium. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of AFL Match Days and a variety of high-quality conferences and events throughout the week.
This role is perfect for those looking for flexible work—whether you’re seeking additional hours alongside a full-time/part-time role or looking to build your experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation and general kitchen duties.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, ensuring high hygiene and food safety standards.
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as required.
- Work efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations on event days.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar hospitality setting (preferred but not essential).
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
- Availability for AFL Home Matches and major events at GMHBA Stadium.
AFL Home Match Availability
To be considered for this role, you must be available for all AFL home matches, including:
- Round 1 – Saturday 15 March
- Round 4 – Friday 4 April
- Round 9 – Sunday 11 May
- Round 11 – Thursday 22 May
- Round 13 – Saturday 7 June
- Round 15 – Friday 20 June
- Round 17 – 3 July – 6 July TBC
- Round 19 – 17 July – 20 July TBC
- Round 21 – 31 July – 3 August TBC
- Round 22 – 7 August – 10 August TBC
