VIBE (Casey Works Centre) is home to the Open Space & City Greening Business Unit and offers modern, smart, and functional workspaces which support the service and operational needs of the Infrastructure & Open Space Department.

A bit about the role
You will ensure business support functions are undertaken using corporate systems that seek to deliver the outcomes required by the teams which this position supports.
This role will provide a high standard of business support to the Open Space and City Greening Business Unit and broader Infrastructure and Open Space Department, including the maintenance of documentation, systems, processes and records.
What you’ll deliver
- Use the Council's corporate systems to log, track, and distribute correspondence and tasks within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Prepare correspondence, notices, briefing notes, agendas and minutes, contract documents and other documents.
- Respond to stakeholder and customer enquiries of a works or operational nature and provide basic advice or promptly escalate to the appropriate area for action.
- Provide administrative support to the Open Space and City Greening leadership team and Business Unit as required.
- Collaborate with Business Support Officers across the department to ensure knowledge sharing and cross skilling.
What you’ll bring
- Proven relevant experience in an administrative role (within local government is preferred)
- Extremely proficient use of a computer and variety of MS Office packages, excel and TechOne, One Council or similar.
- Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening, with the ability to adapt style and approach to meet customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams.
- Drivers licence
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
