Role Overview:
As a Childhood Educator (Cert III, Diploma, or ECT), you will be responsible for delivering outstanding educational experiences and care for children in their centre. You will work within a supportive team to implement curriculum and activities that promote children’s learning, growth, and development while building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Cert III Educators:
- Assist in the implementation of educational programs that cater to the developmental needs and interests of children.
- Support the development of positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children.
- Support the planning and implementation of daily activities, routines, and observations.
- Work under the guidance of senior staff and management to meet regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Lead the planning and implementation of high-quality educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Cert III Educators and other team members.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families to foster positive outcomes.
- Observe and document children’s development and progress, preparing individual learning plans.
- Ensure a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for all children.
- Lead the educational programs for the centre, ensuring compliance with the EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that reflect the individual learning needs of children, focusing on their strengths, interests, and learning styles.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to educators and staff in delivering high-quality care and education.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community.
- Lead the assessment and evaluation of children’s learning, providing tailored feedback to families.
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (Cert III, Diploma, or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education).
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid certification.
