The Role
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the Senior Manager in leading and mentoring the engineering team. You will supervise all aspects of the manufacturing and production processes of medical devices while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide engineering support for new and existing products
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers
- Represent Manufacturing at cross-functional meetings
- Support fast response line activities and resolve product and process issues as required
- Lead manufacturing verification, validation, qualification, and implementation activities
- Provide engineering support to new and existing product roadmaps
- Maintain production equipment and technical documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost, capacity, and routing time
We are seeking an engineering leader with a background in manufacturing within a highly regulated industry, ideally med tech or pharmaceuticals. You will be a pragmatic problem solver capable of leading and driving fast-paced, cross-functional projects while sharing your skills and knowledge to support the development of other engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior engineering role in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in medical devices or highly regulated industries involving electromechanical devices
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, proficient in Problem Solving Methodology
- Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing equipment such as jigs, tools, and fixtures through calibration & maintenance
- A passion for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
