Are you ready to lead a talented, multi-disciplinary team and shape impactful marketing campaigns? This exciting role offers the chance to support local government projects and tourism marketing while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team. You'll work on a variety of projects, from promoting regional attractions and accommodations to driving community-focused campaigns. One day, you'll be creating marketing campaigns to increase visitors to the region; the next, you'll be providing digital solutions for community communication or managing a team that collaborates across all council branches. An effective and high-performing team is crucial for successful service delivery. With ample room for growth, your strategic leadership and digital marketing expertise will help shape the future of the Dubbo Region, all within a positive and inclusive workplace environment.

You'll find growth through:

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related discipline OR minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering strategic marketing campaigns and leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Superior leadership and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of best marketing practices including media planning, campaign creation and digital communications
  • Experience in designing and delivering integrated communication or marketing programs in government, tourism or private sector to achieve measurable results
  • Leadership experience with proven ability to create a positive team culture that fosters collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience managing a multi-layered work program, with ability to provide clear transparency on progress to stakeholders

We would also love you to have:

  • Thorough understanding and mid to high-level experience in using the Adobe Creative suite
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of long term strategies and operational or delivery plans to achieve communications, marketing or business outcomes within a large, diverse organisation
  • An understanding of local government or tourism industry

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $101,700 to $118,192.
